Having been there I would have said East, but I've skied there ONCE so I'm not putting my East up against skimore's ENE since he's skied there... 100 times? What ever the number is it's a hell of a lot.

There's no north in it at all. That being said, it's got a little south in it to. Southeast or east...definitely no north.  Anyway, wasn't the point that snow ridge was more wind protected than iceface? That was the point.

Ok, forget all this directional stuff and looking at google maps and getting me confused...LOL A lot of work to try to prove something...

What was my point? That whiteface is more wind exposed than snow ridge due to elevation.

South facing ski areas are least wind exposed in nor'easters. North facing is the worse. That is the point. Argue with me directly about the point skimore.

Harvey....the trails face due south. Look at a compass. Powder RIDGE in middlefield, ct faces due east. That means the trails go to the right....if they go the left, it's west. If they face up, it's north, down it's south

It's like a compass!
I remember coming from the Adks, for the life of me I can't remember the road number, but I know was coming from the East at least roughly.  I remember seeing those trails across the flats as the Tug came into view.

But beyond my memory, it's more about what I know about skimore. When you ski there with him he knows every nook and cranny of the place. Every employee knows him by first name. He's like the ambassador at that place. And he's a student of map, compass, google maps, aspect, snowfall.

When I think of Gore I think Charlie Goodspeed. When I think Plattekill, I think Sean Riley. Snow Ridge? Skimore.

If you look carefully at Skimore's image, you'll notice the Imagery Date is 05/26/2013.  In the 16 months that have passed since the image was captured, Snow Ridge has indeed tilted southward, probably by a good 20 to 30 degrees.  It's all related to continental drift and global warming and stuff.  I'm sure of it.  It's the same reason why the moon is currently waxing and some amphibians eat their young.  Get it now?

I figured southeast based on when I skied there, not looking at google maps. Now that I looked, it's definetly faces east. It's not a southerly exposure, but it still gets a lot of sun due to width of trails and that it's east facing, and not north facing.

Yeah and the compass is not aligned with true north facing up the way it's supposed to be. The map is sideways you bastard! And like I'm going to notice that little SIDEWAYS n just looking real quick.

Anyone, just go on google maps and look yourself. Maps are aligned with true north UP, south DOWN. That's how you view a map.

You've been totally outed, you come here touting the virtues of Wolf Creek, Alta, Mt Bachelor, then discuss the conditions of Cannon & Mt Washington, rag out on Jay and come to find out by your own admission that you ain't even got the scratch to make it a few days to your beloved Snow ridge. Why don't you shut the F'k up and go back to the asylum, your done here.

You just can't handle the truth buddy boy...don't hate on me. Anyone working a service job(millions of people) will have trouble coming up with the money. This sport more and more services the rich. It's disgusting Snow ridge has AFFORDABLE lift tickets, but is too far for me. It's 8 hours round trip so of course I'm hardly every going to get there. I don't live in watertown or utica. Get real!

Yes, telluride, wolf creek destory NVT when it comes to powder. That's a reality.
NVT clearly exaggerates in my opinion. That's my whole point. But you try to deflect into irrelevant nonsense.

All you need to look at is climate data/snow reports to figure out how much snow an area gets. But hey keep thinking NVT gets as much snow as telluride
