LMAO

Started in 1986 during my stay at Smuggs ---- Became friends with a couple of the race coaches so they would let us run on the practice slope with them. Never was very good at it, for the most part was always late on every gate, but that never stopped me from having fun. From time to time we'll still do a fun run thru our NASTAR course for bragging rights at the bar

What age group, what is the discipline, the expected temperature, the humidity, the last time for natural snow and the last time they made snow? That may give us some idea of what might be the best. These are all the factors I would weigh when helping my grand daughter with her wax.

Sorry for the late response. Base wax CH8 and mix in some HF8. Scrape and brush tell your arms go numb. Overlay some Anti static HF wax - graphite or tungsten. Scrape and brush again. Finish up with a paste well rubbed in.

Should be faster than Clark Griswold's saucer in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.

Opps - forgot to add, make sure the bases are clean enough to eat off of, you may need to wax and scrape several times to raise all the dirt out of them.

I talked to Kenny the owner of Placid planet and he got us set up.

I ended up getting some of the Swix Blackwolf HF8.  It is supposed to be good for dirty made made snow.  I waxed a layer of base prep ch88 then LF8 then this.  I also got a Cera F warm turbo overlay that I'm going to put on after the training run.  Meshed with what Plygirl had suggested.

Did the same set up for GS on Sunday less the base prep.

Monday's SL went with LF10 as wax is less important for SL.

I need to get a roto brush becuase my arm feels like it is going to fall off from brushing.

Stop babying the boy - it's his responsibility, he should do it or he'll turn out like Sno. My Grandaughter was doing all her tuning & waxing at 14. Hell - she was a 46er at age 10.

It't not babying. It's a father wanting to bring some of the pressure off his son. My dad waxed my skies until second year J3s. He still does them sometimes for me and my brothers. Ham face.

Double Z will be tuning all his slip and training skis next yr to get ready for academy life where he has to do it.  I do it now so he has more time to do his homework given that he takes a day off each week to train and has to make up that day on his own time.

I'll still do the race tunes.  I like tuning skis.

This post was updated on .
That flat road at the top really killed the light weight kids.  He said once he was off the flat it felt good but he was disappointed in his time.  The course set was pretty tight for a SG.

He was 31st out of 75

Didn't use the Cera.  Nysef was prepping all the WF and Gore skis and they used the Swix HVC (I think) liquid.

Snow is cold this morn - 19 degrees now and air temp at 10 am will be below freezing so just going with the HF8.  Will be 37 air temp and sunny for 2nd run so will use Cera turbo warm overlay for that.

Sorry about your daughter. As I said earlier - you have to be prepared for injury.
Hopefully its just a sprain.
