Pretty sure I'll be at Plattekill on Saturday regardless to open the season there.

Does Plattekill still do the midweek powder daizes?  I would think that they might do one this week if they get over a foot of snow.

That's the word, but now that I'm a weekend guy....

But still thinking of going somewhere Wednesday... Maybe Thursday.... Friday, too.... Damn work.

Day after they get a foot they open, midweek prices. Usually it's just Fri-Sun except on holidays. Powder Daize is like cat skiing in the catskills. Chasing pow with 25 of your closest friends.

Pretty sure Laszlo would rather just sleep late and let the snow pile up until the weekend comes around though*.

The latest run is a bit warmer.. Some one is going to see all snow, most will see a mix...
I don't have a clue , who will be the winner...

they posted on fb after last weeks rain that they were hurting for a base so we'll see...

WRF is sticking to a more southern storm...



GFS  is more in line with what FIS/Lionel is saying...



This lazy storm is awesome, hangin out in off the coast of NYC...



Does seem like the mixing is going to be an issue, but IMO this is GOLD on 12/9 through whenever it stops...

I spoke to Laz last night, he's open to anything. To open more than what they have been blowing, they'll need some sleet or something dense followed by something lighter.  I asked him to keep us in the loop.

If Gore and the face manage to stay all or mostly snow, going to end up with huge totals.

I still like 10-14 at Gore, Whiteface may clean up with the highest totals out of the ski resorts for now going with 14-18 inches.

According to the radar, looks like rain is approaching the ADK's..
The only thing that keeps me from going crazy for WF is, do they get enough qpf..

Light driz here, X18. No new snow at all.
