Storm Speculation 2/24/16

on the way to the hill last Saturday morning i passed at least 20+ in a cornfield with 3 or 4 toms in full fan, never saw that before

 the are a magnificent bird to look at when they're all strutted up like that.

Yup.  They're all over these parts, they were successfully reintroduced a few decades ago.  I see some every other day... More often than not the Tom is escorting his biatchs across the road - he'll always be the protective pimp and puff all up - i just patiently wait in my car, occaisionally I'll roll down the window and taunt him.. "Are you feeling lucky, punk?  Well are you?..."   .
