Things That Get On Your Nerves

Highpeaksdrifter

People in the lift line who say excuse me I have to get up to my friends. Well no you don’t…your friends can wait for you and then you don’t have to bump, go over skis and cut those in front of you.
How about you?
There's truth that lives
And truth that dies
I don't know which
So never mind - Leonard Cohen

Snowbladers (AKA. snowlerbladers). One of them caused me tear my ACL. They are a scourge on the mountain.

People who stop for no apparent reason in the middle of a run, usually when I am going about Mach 10.

People who stand on my skis in the lift line. The occasional step I can handle, hey, it's a crowded place. But those morons who simply stand there grinding their edges into my lovely topsheet deserve to be stabbed with a ski pole.

Give me some time, there will be more...

People who think they are better skiers than they really are, especially those who post comment after comment on forums trying to agitate folks who are just want to exchange info and ideas.

Snowboarders who insist on lining up across the trail... either to say "dude" as many times as possible or just to "buckle in." They force me (even if only for a moment) to become a glade skier... and I"m not GOOD ENOUGH to be in there most of the time! When there's a beautiful dump of snow and the ski area grooms it all into corduroy before the ski area even opens.

I have to get up with my friends all the time. They're the double that's next in line for the quad, and the lifties don't know how to combine groups to fill chairs.

But I never step on anybody's skis. And if someone steps on mine there could be trouble.

or "sick".

And GoPro cameras. Ugh--those make me "sick". I'm tired of watching all that dizziness-inducing POV stuff, which is only slightly more tolerable than that ridiculous camera on a stick routine where I get the pleasure of watching your ridiculous outfit that's like 7 times too big on you.

How many snowboarders does it take to do a 360 off a bump?

Seven. One to actually do the 360, and 6 to sit there and say "yeah, brah."

+1 for the blades comment - can't stand them things

For me - People that do not keep the pointy end down on their poles - seems to happen a lot around the Gondi - I usaully use my poles to help folks keep the pointy end from doing any damage and they are totally clueless to this issue.
