Q: What's the hardest part of learning to snowblade?

A: Telling your parents you're gay.

Just sayin'.

Ski you on the hill.
What about the girl snowbladers?

Oh please. What a bunch of sheep. Hating on something because it's the "cool...in" thing to do. This type of sheep conformist mentality is the reason it took DECADES to finally get wide skis for powder. Same crap was done to snowboarding in the beginning, but enough people took up that so it eased up. Hell same thing with helmets, people will rag all day about someone not wearing a helmet as if it's a death sentence or something. So silly. Nothing wrong with snowblades as long as you understand their limitations and just having fun with them.

What YC just said!

Really, what 'Championship' will they come up with next?  The World Dingleberry Wiping Championship?

Hey, what do the Star Ship Enterprise and toilet paper have in common?  They both go around Uranus wiping out Clingons!

Must be. Hard to imagine snowblades being a cool or in thing. More sightings of Big Foot are reported than sightings of snowbladers.

Yeah, Harvey, I had been thinking when PA shows me the vid of snowbladers ripping up the Chugach, or shredding The Ridge at Bridger in the Championships......then I'll buy in.

No doubt people will do some cool things on a snow blade (that Championship run was not), but an Olympic sport it never will be!

Yes, I'm sure the same was said about snowboarding....

I went to Squaw to cover the Pain McScholonkey a few years ago, it was a great event. If you are a serious snowlerblader, you should save up and enter to compete. Of course, most of the peeps are just skiers who tumble the length of the course. You could be a "ringer" and since you're from the EC, no one would even see you sliding up to the podium to take the gold.

It was also without a doubt the best ski party I have ever been to. If my girlfriend wasn't there, I'd probably still be shacking up with these skier/surfer chicks that were twice my age and totally hilarious.

The entire thing was satire genius. And the fact that you don't even know who that skier is in the video is pretty sad. They make a pair of powder skis after him.

I do, so do the other 23,000 views

You're crazy if you don't think that looks fun and can't understand why someone would want to do that. I totally prefer regular ski's, but I don't shit on people just because they don't ride what I ride. That includes snowboarders. I also used to snowboard. I've done everything on snow. I found snowboarding powder easier than groomers! I could snowboard 2 foot of untracked right away! It was like surfing. Snowboards on groomers I don't really like. Just a personal preference.
