^ Fair enough but don't sell yourself short. Between monitoring texts, sketchy phone service, FB and getting the play by up here, you clearly have great career potential as a snowsports action reporter. You might have to single-handedly create that career path but whatever. Not to mention the efforts of Harv, hunkered down in Sandy-damaged NJ, workin' behind the scenes magic like the Wizard of Oz with a smartphone.

Wow.  That's a bizarre post right there.
I gotta agree with this!  I mean really?  What is the point?  Great they went and skied some freak WV pow, but good lord why so concerned with the dick waving right now.  Cant they have fun and post about it later when they get home. For gods sake!

Hope whoever broke trail had a posse, I can feel my lungs burning and legs aching just looking at the skin track. Wish I could have been there to help break it. Time to start getting in aerobic shape, season is approaching quickly I hope.

For Timberline, at least, it was just MC2 and MadPat.

They're at Whitegrass today along with half the TGR ECRC

Hoping to get a TR from the pipeline by the end of this epic.

I'd definitely recommend making the drive. If you can hook up with someone else (according to tBatt half of TGR is on it's way down) then it's even better.

We're headed to Whitegrass for a run with ml and moeghoul from TGR and then Patrick and I are heading back. Should be back in the Albany area tonight.
Wanna head back down tomorrow night?

Is it worth all the effort? Seems like quite the flat place

In case you hadn't noticed this is a forum that discusses sliding on snow.
No it's not.  None of these "ski" forums are about that.  Look a little closer.  Squint if you have to.

They all seem to be stoked about it.

They've also skied Timberline and Canaan Valley so far. I think it's more about trying to get the most out of the trip.

Impromptu ECRC summit at Whitegrass.
ML242 has his DSLR hanging off his stomach there, so I'm sure we'll get some high-res shots showing whether it was worth it or not. There are some low-res balls deep action shots over on TGR.

I take the rap for the existence of this thread.

Matt is very much a shut up and ski guy. He's got his own blog and rarely even posts a TR.

I thought it would be an entertaining diversion from the sandy bummer and asked him to txt me whatever he wanted, pics or text.

He agreed, but it wasn't even close to his idea.

No need to apologize, this is great thread, despite the fact that a few Negative Nancies don't appreciate it. Taking advantage of all the tools of modern communication and creating an on-going, on-the-spot TR was a brilliant idea.

+1

I've enjoyed checking it out----I still think they're right out of their chicken for doing it, but what the hell, good for them

Once again proving that you just don't get it.

Oh, by the way Noah, I was at the Toronto airport yesterday at 4:30 am, walked in to the departures area and the first thing I see is this dude hanging out wearing a sumo wrestler costume. Given the time of day, it didn't click right away that it was Hallow'een and I thought it was you. Wished I had a camera.

SBR... wasn't apologizing.  I guess the "rap" was the wrong word.

Credit wasn't right either. It was actually River's idea.
