Get it fixed -- I don't wanna listen to you creak for two hours tomorrow.

(I have the same problem)

This week's been a washout, glad I rode nearly every day last week.  Should be hero dirt tomorrow!

This is last November btw.  I can't believe how late our leaves change and they seem even later this year.  I'll be raking them up in December!

Nice morning for a ride.  This came out a lot darker than I hoped for, but it was pretty representative of visibility.  Super bright sun and dark, dark ground made for some tricky visibility.  That and the cold air making my eyes water whenever the speeds picked up.

It's this place Jason. I know I posted this video before but I don't know where.

That looks fun. Did they mechanically remove all the rocks?

Why yes, yes they did.  I call it the giant BMX track.

There are a few rocks but they reside in the creek beds.  A few have been strategically relocated to make rock gardens, jumps, etc.  I don't think any of those areas are shown in that vid.  FWIW they are riding mostly the same mile or two of trails in all those shots.

At any rate, the trails are built on a number of bluffs that are carved out of the upper plateau down to a bay on Lake Ontrario.  It's actually mostly really steep, but the bike trails have been bench cut into the sides.

I don't know where all the rocks are, even the bedrock.  If you dig down you don't hit it readily.  It's deep, deep layers of sand and clay.

It is completely opposite to what you posted in the other thread.

Bench cuts across steep slopes are the most sustainable way to build trails. Looks dope.

Yessir.  We have very few fall line trails for that very reason.  The few we have are legacy trail that hasn't been re-rerouted or update... yet.

It's probably not youtube quality or caliber, but it's good enough for who it's for.

Today the NJ MTB Festival I rode 8 miles of tech, shit load of climbing to boot.

Then I decided to try a E bike..all I can say is Holy Sh*t. Rode another 2 miles , with some brutal climbs. It was soooo much fun..I'm no spring chicken, this might keep me on the bike for a very long time..

eBike huh?  Are they legal on your trails?

It's funny because I see them pull into parking areas around here from time to time only to see they aren't legal.  We have signs at all our trailheads that say no motor vehicles including eBIkes.

There's one serious bike shop in town that won't even sell them.
