Yeah.  It's been an adjustment for me.  The builder suggested 42:40.  He's a retired pro, so I felt it was solid advice.  I have noticed that I can sustain a much higher pace on lower angle climbs.  The trade-off is highly evident at higher angles.  This particular ride doesn't have anything too steep, so I was able to settle in to a comfortable pace and knock it out pretty comfortably.  Average heart-rate for the entire ride was 150.... never went past 80% of max.

It's a type of racing, a type of bike used for that type of racing, and also the name of a bike made by Specialized used for that type of racing.

BUT those rock rolls and drops!  WOW - that's quality stuff.

I contacted BKXC and asked him to do a trip through NY.  Told him to check out Wilmington, Ithaca, Bristol, Ellicottville, etc.  Maybe he's going to swing down after QC.  I think he might be a bit disappointed after that one.

Well yeah, Mtn Creek is DH, not trail riding.  He doesn't usually do lift served except Whistler.

I doesn’t always snow here but we have year round riding with Sedona 45 minutes to the south.
