That looks like a lot of fun!
It is, you should try it

Jason, I hear you about the smoothing effect of the helmet, but honestly it doesn't really look like it does riding, and the damn camera feels like a lead weight on my head.  This is much easier and more comfortable.  I don't think I'll be buying a gimbal though.  Hell, I'm using an original Hero that is like 10 years old.

This didn't come out as good as I had hoped, but it's still a cool section.

We have nice dirt.

Those are different places, but close to each other.  There are really rocky sections but it's limited to one small area.

Thanks bro!  Ain't shit compared to what I've seen in Sedona.  Maybe someday when I'm older and more decrepit my boys will drag me out there.

Nursing school?  Wait until you get to the nursing part.  I couldn't work those shifts...  I think around here they work a 5 day rotation:  3 x 12 hour shifts, then 48 hours off, then start again.  Or maybe it's only 24 hours off.  I don't know, but it's a killer schedule.

Out here it's 3 shifts a week, four days off. That was the initial reason that sparked an interest.

Here's an old video of Sedona I threw together years ago using the same crappy old Go Pro.

Pump track trail. It's faster the other way as it's slightly downhill that direction.

Beautiful pre-dusk ride tonight.  Weather is absolutely perfect, 60F, 50% humidity.  Trails were goddamn perfect.  Hero dirt and most of the leaves were off.  I barely even got sweaty.

I'm looking at the Killington thread and just can't imagine skiing right now.  Just doesn't compute for me.  Leaves still on trees, it's not dark when I eat dinner, and I haven't went through a month or two of horrible depression waiting for it to stop raining and start snowing.

Yup, generally I'd rather be riding my bike than skiing on a WROD or two.

Now is the time to be clearing the blowdown and brush from those stashes. The wind storm early this week made a mess of things.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

Nah - I wait until all the leaves are down, it's soaking wet and there's nothing else to do.  Then I take a fifth and go stumble around in the woods with sharp tools.  This is usually about the time when that crushing depression has set in.

And fuck that windstorm.  You should see the shit I ski over.  Rocks are the only thing that really damage your bases.

A couple views from today. It's starting to feel more like winter and less like summer although the leaves have a long way to go.
