Get some pics Jason, I wanna see those features.

I always thought Harriman SP should have a massive bike friendly trail system. The terrain is pretty darn bitchen.

Today’s weather was awesome. I rode about 50 miles last weekend but had to cut down and clean up a tree in the yard to get ready for a new outbuilding. Man am I sore from that but tomorrow I’ll try to get 30 in if the weather holds
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

I will...Lots of great rock work etc..

Sterling is on quasi private land .. If ya get caught riding in Harriman , they arrest you and take your bike..

Those are some big ass rocks. They were even bigger rocks before the crew drilled and split em.

Back in the saddle for 2019! Cody and I probably got in 18 or so miles today. She did real good, I hope she will keep riding with me this summer.

Telemark Dave
So todays ride was ostensibly a HTFU and de-flab, as the last few weeks of minimal (sucky season,  crappy weather, etc) activity seems to have reversed the entire winters worth of skiing fitness..

Headed out onto the local back roads and big hills for a suffer-fest (didn’t take much..  ).  Found the last vestiges of winter. Took a pic. Continued on home  with lactic acid filled legs whining the whole while.  That is all.

Well, the only part thats original is the frame.. it’s a ‘91 Team frame, Tange Prestige that was built in Japan.. (same place that was welding Ritchey production frames)

It’s been rebuilt and repurposed many times over the years..   I recall putting a Scott Unishock on it immediately after getting it...  that lasted about a week before I ditched the friggen’ pogo stick for a Rock Shox Mag 20.

It currently is set up as a mutant gravel grinder, using a 1x8 (34, and 11-40) drive train.

Here’s what it looked like way back when..  (not my pic)

My dirt road bike is an early 90s Gary Fischer - all original except a different seat and changed out the tires several times. I have an old Trek I rescued from a dumpster as well but the frame is small for me - my daughter will ride it with me.

What time are you riding?

I’m going to hit somewhere on my way up North. Gurney has been great lately. I was thinking Ski Bowl (little bit off the path for you, though). I haven't been to Brant Lake yet and I'd love to try it (but not sure my legs are in shape enough yet).

There's always SMBA or Luther. Luther is dry (was there Wednesday).

Closer to Albany, I haven't been to North Bethlehem yet, but I'm hearing good things.
