Until there is a vaccine the deaths are going to be the deaths, its just a matter of how quickly you want them to occur.

Absolutely not. I think we should be able to talk like normal people having normal conversations.

From what I understand each region is going to cancel events that would pull in many outsides.  The Sate Fair comes to mind cause our stud of a governor says so.  He reminds me of Putin

Like, yeah, I guess that doesn't have anything to do with skiing, until the replacement lifts that we want at Gore & Whiteface get axed because we "can't afford it".

No it's not. There is virtually unlimited money. We just printed $6 Trillion and we still have negative 10-year rates.

There is plenty of money. The entire economic system rests on people believing that things (especially money) are scarce so they can impose their will on the easily duped. Stop believing in fairy tales.

Exactly my point. not all ski areas aren't owned by the government. Soul proprietors don't print money. That's reality.

I finally got my damn haircut yesterday- shaved the beard but kept the mustache. I now have a mustache.

I’ll probably regret reviving this thread but I just wanted to say I’m a little dismayed that this is taking so long. When do gyms reopen? Phase 11?

Hard for me to see how the northeast can avoid the rise happening in much of the rest of the country.  Not sure when you get gyms back, could be soon, but not sure you can count on it being permanent.

I went to the diner this AM for breakfast. I went super early and was only one of 3 guys in there. Breakfast is my favorite meal to go out and eat.

Anecdotally, I think we are doing a better job of masking & distancing than other parts of the country. Went to a couple of restaurants in Vermont and they were taking everyone’s name & email address for contact tracing.

I wouldn't be in a real big hurry to go into a gym. Nothing has really changed. There is no vaccine and numbers were low back in February when the virus was spreading. Numbers are low now and the virus will begin spreading again. Pennsylvania is opening indoor seating at restaurants and bars today at 50%. From what I've seen with the outdoor seating and seeing two full court adult basketball games going on at the park, we are screwed as a country. Too many people evidently take it as the virus has gone away. I would love to go and get a nice craft draft beer and hang with some people. But I'm not doing that anytime soon. And I'm no germophobe. It's just science and it's just what viruses do. They spread and multiply.

This past weekend there were groups in Lake George that appeared to not even know there was a pandemic. Like a lot of things I think a few bad apples may ruin the bunch.
