Sucks that they have to turn them off!

I'm kinda of suprised that they made snow towards the bottom given the temps for the early part of next week.  I have not seen guns going up high which is the usual MO but its been hard to see higher up with the clouds lately.  Anyone know anything about where else the snow is being blown

Starting Wednesday they'll push for the top of little face.  Real smart move to stock pile under mid station, I think.  They only had a short weather window and the crew is not all there yet.  Got some guns out, laid it down deep to lessen snow melt.  Now go for the top of little face!

I'm crossing my fingers that either Whiteface or Gore will be open for Thanksgiving weekend.  Hope the temps drop soon.  The "photo of the day" at WF looked promising despite the warm spell...

100% it will be open

Excelsior top2bottom.  Upper Valley to lower Valley 4sure as well.

thats great was thinking of heading to Killington never have been to either place. Which you guys hit with advanced beginner-intermediate skiers and boarder.

The people at WF say it won't open until day after thanksgiving.

Day after Thanksgiving is what Gore is shooting for too.  Looks like a week of cold nights.

I called yesterday they said they will be open Friday the 23rd.

At least by the 23rd...i wouldnt even be worried about that date.

The Gore site currently states that they will be open on the 23rd... "weather permitting."  It's great to see that WF believes that they will be open.  Given the upcoming temperature predictions, do you think that WF has a good chance of actually getting a trail from little WF to the bottom open?  I really hope so.  My family and I like to do one day at Gore and one at WF over Thanksgiving.  I hope we can.  I'd certainly be happy to spend both days at WF if Gore is not an option.  A half day of skiing at WF followed by lunch at the Brown Dog or Saranac Sourdough in Lake Placid?  Sounds good to me!
