Anyone know when Kids Kampus Chair & Slope will be open? Would love to get some turns in with the little Cornelius's on the 1st weekend of 12/6-7.
Not likely to much closer to Xmas.  The lodge is under construction over there.
Thanks for the info, Coach!

approach to Mt Run to Thruway open

Huge whales and bumps.  Super fun!

With the temp change will probably be groomed today

+1 on the Super Fun!

My cousin and I were lucky enough to get in early on that.

My early season legs felt it after for sure.

It's nice that WF prioritizes getting a few steeper trails open early, unlike Gore. Essex, Victoria, Mountain Run.

Strange morning at the face wednesday. Four run off facelift good snow ALL GROOMED then Gondi opened for three runs before power outages shut the whole mt down.  Must be planned as lodge was fine. It they announced lodge would lose power then facelift would spin in the afternoon.     Run of day Victoria.   Essex and mt run to thruway to drop boilerplate with wind piles.  Bottom half of hill good above mid lodge not so much. Stopped every 500 vertical feet to remove icing.   Still beats work just not what expected

They just posted that the face lift will run on auxiliary power. Creates a pretty awesome scenario: bring skins, ride face lift, skin over to Mac/Wilderness/Mountain Run cluster, enjoy untracked runs all day.

I kinda want to leave work, drive 2.5 hours, and do that now.

I will try to make work better.  On wed those runs mentioned still too much brown.  Looks like six inches new in LP last night.   Not quite there yet without a good base.   Soon

After a couple days of trying to take a morning off work I was finally able to get some turns in.

The it's all groomed now but is really nice packed powder.  Had a nice morning.

They opened pretty much everything on the lower mt.  The stuff that has not been blown is a bit boney so you may not want bring out the new skis.

Lower Mac was open and got skied in nicely.  There was some ungroomed off in the wilderness but the base bit me a few times.  Deer freaking Valley Cord on the groomers early.  I left at noon.

Crazy good skiing today!

Groomed was sweet.

Loved the bumps skiers left on Victoria and on lower Mac

Only thing not great was lower Mt. Run. Kind of sticky.

It just keeps getting better and better. Very good Sat 12/13, excellent today Sun 12/14.   Especially the trails that had been blown - Victoria, Upper Valley, and Lower Northway were nothing less than spectatular.  GS turns all day.  Skied from 9 to 1 and it was NOT, repeat, NOT skied off by 1pm.   Just could not do anymore after combined 35k vertical there this weekend.  WF - kudos to staff, you guys nailed it.

BTW Mountain Run bottom 2/3 so fun, after being under the guns Sat night.   The mountain is not this good in mid-January most years.  The non-blown stuff a bit sketchy  (and some starting to close like upper Boreen) but the rest is golden.

There has to be an easier way than relying on your memory to determine the "Best Ever ."
