Had to laugh when I saw how my iPhone slaughtered my post from the gondi this afternoon.
The Face is really holding up well in this shitty weather pattern we're in. Highlight of the day was Victoria. For some reason the snow there was far drier than the rest of the mountain, must be a function of less skier traffic or something. Vic had nice soft bumps top to bottom. The best line of the day was taking Essex for some legit black diamond spring bumps and then cutting across to Vic. Rinse & repeat. Excelsior was good too, but the bumps on Essex and Vic kept calling us. Basically everything that's open has good coverage and soft spring conditions. Gotta take your skis off about 100' from the gondi and walk through a bit of mud, but no big deal. Crappy photos from today but here's a few:

This is the choke point at the bottom of Vic. There was just enough snow mixed in with the grass that you could shoot it, as Sylvie just did here:
We had kinda low expectations for the day but it turned out to be a great one. If anyone's on the fence for tomorrow, it's definitely worth heading up. There's a reason why 3 out of my 4 ski days so far this season are up at WF, imo it's just better than Gore early season.
Coach, we wrapped up early around 3pm and hit the Cloudspin for about 20 min before heading out. Didn't see you, figured you were still out on the hill. Next time.
