Skied the Face yesterday and today, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Despite some pretty crowded trails, we had a great time both days. LWF lift was spinning both days, which was great as it allowed us to avoid a return all the way to the base through the "killing fields" below the mid-mountain lodge. A decent variety of terrain, essentially the same trails that have been open the last several weeks. The crowds (huge numbers of beginners and low level intermeds) hammered the slopes hard, but the grooming and snowmaking crews did an amazing job putting the mountain back together overnight. Essex and Victoria were the favs both days, but Vic today was really great under the guns. This makes 6 out of 8 days so far this season up at the Face for me. Lovin' it. Tough weather conditions for photos, but here's a few:

By the way, a shout out for the beef stew at Boule's (downstairs mid-mountain).
And, for Coach, it should be better tomorrow.
