Another major upgrade ... the lodge expansion at Bear Den ... once again, still a lot of work to be done, but this all represents some major upgrades for the facilities at Whiteface. Hopefully, the upgrades will continue next year with snowmaking & lift improvements.

I’ll buy you the beer soon.  My son is done at 2:30 so not sure when - no foos or air hockey in the fancy new bar as that would ruin the high end image “your Gov” wanted.  Hopefully when they build new bar at bears den they put in games for the kiddos.  
I always pay my debts.  You were right it opened.  Had a beer with some friends today there.  Looks nice.  The whole need to go to hostesses to get a table is so not WF.  Also no foot shelf on bar so incredibly uncomfortable to sit on bar stools.  Designed  by people that don’t understand bars evidently.

The skiing was really good today.  Deep freeze starts tonight though. Snow tribe is going to be pumping out velvet.  Those guys rock and I feel from them in these temps.

Looks like Saturday is the warmest day this weekend. High of 6. I see sleds and indoor entertainment in my weekend.

WF was great yesterday
I had some friends visiting that were into cruising blues and the snow was perfect NE cord.  Very enjoyable.  Lines were short at Gondi due to the cold keeping some away.  Hit up Skyward around 1 which were pure cold smoke gun velvet.  So good I had to do it again but then I lost feeling in my toes and pulled the plug.  Sorry Harv but way too cold to take photos.

Windier and colder today so I’m taking the day off.  Enjoying my new freedom.  1st time in 29 years I can actually enjoy the holiday week of skiing.

About to watch some long jumpers and fireworks. I love this town!

Really nice skiing today at WF
Parking lots were packed but it didn’t feel that busy on the hill.  May have been the temps keeping poeple in the lodges.
The groomers were nice and Skyward was primo.
The smoked wings with spicy maple sauce is killer in the new bar.  Only having one bar vs two means long waits for beers and the traffic flow in there needs to get sorted out.  It’s not done so maybe they add a second bar I hope.

No line at the Taste NY bar in the Cafeteria. Big slide ipa on tap.

Nah. They lack the social skills. Great day though.

Took a long time for things to get going but it delivered. Great skiing up here. Gun powder galore.

Anyone have a guess for when they'll finally start making snow on Wilmington?  Considering the perfect weather they've had for weeks it should've been easy to get it open by MLK Weekend or well before but it looks like it's going to come down to the wire now.
