someone must have pissed off the 0z GFS..I haven't seen a shit run like that in a long time..Does it every stop raining in the NE followed by cold air?..This has been the pattern since Aug..

Girls and boys , if you have the means . Get your ass out west or the Alps...It is going off..

At least this episode isn’t a gully washer?  Looks like there’s the possibility of some snow week after next, freshen things up a bit....

.5 to 1 inch of rain on this upcoming event...

Looks like everyone gets some ncp Monday night, but precip Sun/Mon looks like it may stay north of the Cats and So. VT., based on a number of forecasts.  Yes?  No?

Winter takes a bit of  vacation this week. Warm temps and a bit of rain at weeks end..Then of course followed by cold and windy conditions for the weekend..

Winter isn't over but this is a solid week of warmth with rain at times.  Our loss is the West coast gain as they will be getting crushed all week

Crippling snowstorm in the Pugeot Sound environs today... 3 inches in the city with up to 9 inches out on the islands.  After several days of warmishness, it turned arctic yesterday.  Most of our ski areas didn't see too much by Cascade standards (8 inches at Baker, 6 inches at Crystal, nothing over at Stevens)   We got about 6 inches at Mission. It was Blower OG.  Temps at the base never got out of the low teens.  Calm winds, and good Viz.  We rolled in to the parking lot @845.... 2 rows deep, and less than 20 people in the line-up.  My best day so far this season.  With Chair 4 closed, we traversed the horseshoe, and farmed untracked lines pretty much all day.

Hopefully the predicted pattern holds.  I leave on Friday for a 2 week road trip.  Skiing Bogus, Alta-Bird, Snowbasin, PowMow, Jackson and Bridger.

I guess the only saving grace is Arizona might benefit.  Skiing this weekend sounds iffy in this neck of the woods.

Rain and warm temps during the week and well below freezing on the weekend - what could be wrong with that?

Keeping it positive - good parking, low crowds,  tune those skis and rip the groomers!

When does it look like winter returns. It's only first week of February so she has to come back. Right?

No significant snow in the forecast but a return to seasonable temps this weekend..then of course another rain event followed by more cold air etc etc...

Look again - models have a significant snow event next week (tue - thru).
