ADK BC Conditions

Yes indeed it has - ski touring was been really nice.

Looking for info on Lyon Mtn ski route....what can you tell me? I'm looking for ADK routes not far from LP that have relatively quick access from roads and can be done in a day or half day....And that don't require a beacon level of risk...

Another nice tour while it was puking. In the southern Daks there is still a lot of crust under the fluff. This weeks fluff should make it sweet.

That ice layer lurking below the foot + of snow I suspect is the issue. The warmer weather may help to consolidate the layers but conditions are not stable right now. I have been staying on low angle terrain so far this year.

Successful first ski on Wright Peak Ski trail...this morning...3 hours to slightly below summit (couldn't find path to summit - didn't wanna bushwhak in deep snow first time up there, turns out I was a few hundred feet shy.)

Excellent snow quality on way up but by 11:30 when we headed down, the snow was super wet and sticky...and stiff where it had been compressed.  Major gumming of skins on the last maybe 20 mins of the skin...good thing we got out early.  Ton of snow up there tho.

Put them on youtube. Then find the "share" link under the video and then you will see Embed and once you click on that you will get a tag that you can paste in between the embed video tags. The links to the videos you posted are broken but if you can post the videos as I have suggested, I would like to see them. It's been a long time since I have been up there.

Odd, still works on my end.  Should link to Facebook where my friend posted them...

I'm pretty sure it's cause his FB page is set to be visible only to his friends.
