I hate when people complain about trails not being groomed.
You know, when people first started skiing, there were no such thing as groomers. You had to deal with the conditions of the day. Just ski it. It will make you a better skier. If you can't ski it, take a lesson.
What is going on with this forum lately? Bitch bitch bitch, whine whine whine.
Feel their frustration, Mattchuck. They are intermediates. They paid for their lift tickets, too. They had the expectation to be able to ski more than only three open groomed runs - Ruby, Sunway and Quicksilver. I was only reporting what I heard in the lodge from the intermediates who were extremely frustrated by the lack of grooming today.
Take a lesson? A level 4-5 skier cannot go from skiing groomed Twister one day to a chopped Twister in one lesson.
Just ski it? I was almost hit by an out of control little *&^% today who was 'just skiing it.' He was out of control, he couldn’t turn, and he couldn’t stop. That’s MY frustration.
In addition, I asked if anyone knew what was the mindset of the management at Gore not to groom. Are budgetary restrictions going to make this a routine thing or was it the weather forecast or what?
No need to toss around insults to those who can't ski as well as you.
If you are having fun, you are doing it right.
