That's my favorite chairlift. There's just something special about it.

My very first time skiing was at GP. Not surprisingly, lift 3 was the first chairlift I rode, but Lift 2 was my second. I just have such a clear memory of being incredibly fascinated with the whole system, and the dopamine rush of going up this shaky, noisy thing through the dark woods. I was quite young at the time, and for some reason, It was one of the most exciting moments of my life.  Still, to this day, the same neurons fire fire every time I ride that lift, and my mind goes back to when I was 8 years old.
I'll take boilerplate ice over wet snow any day

It's a great chair to ride at night, as the lift is not lighted, so riding in the dark is like an amusement park ride, with only a glimmer of the top station light in the distance.

They do; however, need to replace the wood on the lifts, as many of the panels are rotten with moss growing on them. This is easily and inexpensively remedied, and would spruce the lift shabbiness up quite a bit.

HaHa!

I love it.

I saw the entertainment ad, as well. It was extremely informative. That's the great GP marketing machine in action. The challenge when you talk to them is that they actually think they are effective.

I think it's GREAT what's going on at GreeK Peak this summer. Even after the WORST winter in history, GP isn't standing still. Work continues on our mountain biking trails, Trax is open with live music on the the biggest deck in CNY, all this while other hills close for the summer. Not here!!!
