Greek Peak Conditions (2018 - 2019)

In the Gore thread it's been said they will be closing this coming weekend. Being Gore is run by the state with deep pockets and nobody is held accountable for making a profit, I'd say closing 1 week prior to them isn't all that bad.

Looks like greek is running the "express" today for the employees and not the people that paid for passes.

Looks like the Chair 3 replacement isn't going in this year. Heard the used lift they got from Windham needs some parts replaced. Maybe next year. They are digging trenches and putting in some new main snowmaking pipes.

I drove by yesterday. There was no sign of any installation activity for the replacement for chair 3. But with such a short lift, and without any word from the resort, it's impossible to know for sure what's going to happen.

Greek really needs to replace Chair 3. It has no speed control capacity and can't be slowed to ease loading. So it stops far too often. It needs to go.

The replacement for chair 3 is not going in this year.

HDK’s will be installed on skiers right on the Iliad. New pipe was also dropped. Not sure how well the HDK’s will work, given the installation on skiers right, as wind may be a factor.

That's always a fun time of the year, and a precursor to ski season being just around the corner.

I may very well head up the following weekend.
