Update on next week's hours.

Greek is going to be closed Monday - Thursday, reopening Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Then closed for season.

Camp, I like the Buick Electra ad on the trail map, and to me, it’s still Ronnie’s Run.

Does that mean they are scrapping the pond skimming? I know folks look forward to that.

What the heck is Ronnie's Run???

And thanks for the update, Dougski. As much as I look forward to spring, it's always so sad when ski season is over.

Ronnie’s run is the glade that starts just left of the top of chair 2 and goes down to Castor near the top of lower Atlas.  It was called Ronnie’s run when I was a kid and learned to ski at GP.  Not sure what the story behind the name is, or why it was changed to whatever name it has now, but it will always be Ronnie’s Run👍

I don't. It's now hanging on a wall out in my shop. I'll try and get a better pic of it.
One interesting item on the map legend is point G. Says it's a market and gas station. I don't ever recall a gas station/market at Greek

My understanding is Ronnie was a local and legendary motorcross rider. He's the one who cut that trail so thus the name. He died at an early age. I believe they changed the name to stick with the Greek theme.
GP has a history of motorcross racing. Before chair 5 that area is where they would ride.

Here's a map from 1969 that shows Ronnies Run. It looks like it became Castor or maybe disappeared when they cut Castor?

This original map shows the true vertical of 750 feet. Since then they have gained 200 more feet...

Guessing they are using the same ruler that they measure the base depth with that's 30% off.

The base measurement is just off by a decimal...should be 2.0 - 4.6

Currently heading to Killington, but stopped for lunch and was playing on the phone. I noticed none of the lifts were operating at GP when I looked at the webcam??????

Pond skimming is now on Sunday

Would think they'll pull the plug after that
