I think Bell could greatly benefit from those fixed grip conveyor assisted loading thingies
And I'm the one that told you about these in the first place for Whiteface's Kids Kampus triple.  They work well on lifts that are long enough that a faster ride time is good, but the lift either isn't long enough, or doesn't get enough traffic to warrant getting a detachable.  The Belleayre double double is definitely long enough to be a detachable, but the rest of their lifts would do well with the conveyor system.

Yeah, I'm sure he had never heard of those or seen them before you bestowed your 15 years of wisdom on him.

Coach has said a while back that Belleayre's lifts needed an upgrade.  I think that the only lift there that really needs an upgrade is the double-double at the bottom.  It surprises me that a bunch of eastern ski areas still run those old things.  The one at Belleayre is 3,800 feet long, so it is Belleayre's longest fixed grip.  Since it serves beginner areas, making it a high speed quad would be great.  It is long enough and with a high speed quad it loads slower.  If they got a high speed quad there and ran it at 800 fpm, they would have almost no accidents and stops, and the ride time would be under 5 minutes.  I don't think that any of their other lifts really need an upgrade, the Tomahawk Quad was installed in 1999, so it is a full year younger than most of Mountain Creek's lifts.  For an area that doesn't get a lot of traffic, 3,600 feet long isn't that bad for a fixed grip.  Killington has a detachable that is only 3,200 feet long, but it needed to be high speed, or it wouldn't take any pressure off the Skyeship Gondola next to it.  The Lift 7 triple isn't long enough to be high speed at only 2,800 feet.
I thought the plan was to move the parking lot, and a cut a real top to bottom trail, and a top to bottom Lift?

Nope still not NY
Right, Mountain Creek is still not in NY, but I feel that NJ gets excluded from the ski websites because they aren't on the New York sites like this one, or the New England sites, or the Poconos sites.  I try to include NJ here by doing trip reports from Mountain Creek and posting other stuff about it.  I don't feel that Mountain Creek should be any less included than Mount Peter and Tuxedo Ridge which also just over the border, but on the NY side.

Thacheronix- you wanted more Gore, you got more Gore.  I am going to say what needs to and will happen next that I didn't mention.

Burnt Ridge has only 2 trails, but 3 glades.  That section desperately needs more trails.  There are plans to add a trail to connect it to the Ski Bowl.  It didn't happen this year most likely because the money was already dedicated to the AE2 construction, a much needed upgrade and a great investment.  When this trail is built, I really hope that the state is logical and gives them money for snowmaking right away, or that ticket sales have gotten them enough revenue for snowmaking.  This trail needs to be open whenever the Ski Bowl is so that the Pipeline Traverse can be avoided.  After this trail is finished, all Gore needs to do is blow snow on Peaceful Valley and the Ski Bowl is open and connected.  Burnt Ridge is underutilized because it has only 2 trails.  I would love to see them add the trail to the Ski Bowl as well as another, maybe where Boreas Glades is to increase that section's usage.

Yes

I rode that Lift at Alta and never stops

I had also ridden lifts with them in Europe at several resorts.  They really seem to help prevent stopping the lift and increase cable speed

Why does this forum not have an "ignore poster" feature?

Because the forum software is admittedly lame.

Working on a solution, but probably not going to happen without some kind of gofundme thing.

Sincere: Appreciate everyone's presence and forbearance at NYSB.

Made a huge difference at Mnut for the long lift that serves the long bunny slope, as well as the two lifts on the upper mountain.  Lots of families with little kids and beginner/intermediate parents ride that lift.  I thought it was neat that the conveyor loading could be added to the existing quad.  They did speed up Lift 3 a bit after conveyor loading was in place.  But reducing the number of stops because of people not making it onto the chair was what made the biggest difference.

When I checked out the beginners-only area at Whiteface . . . what are they calling it now? . . . seemed obvious that conveyor loading could help.  Assuming that lift has a faster speed.   My daughter learned to ski at small places in the southeast with relatively slow lifts, but the day she spent hanging out with friends who were beginners over there she learned that there is slow, and then there is really sloooow.
