The big question in the Cats today was "would it warm up enough?" At Plattekill it did.
We knew the morning cord would be sweet and it was. I did my first three laps on Plunge and I was carving two inch trenches in the cord.
By late morning the bumps down Plunge and Block started to soften and took it as a sign that we should try the trees. It was wild because even though you were only cutting in to the snow an inch or two, the trees were actually skiable and fun. By the afternoon there was loose snow everywhere.
It was somewhat comical to see a rope across Freefall. Eventually Laz dropped it himself.

Great day. This season is probably already my best ever.
