WF is reporting 15" at the base at 6am for the overnight.  Add the 6" they showed yesterday and it's 21".  You know that number will be higher when they get up the mountain, and they could get a couple inches today.

Gore reported 11" at 6pm.  I'm sure they got snow overnight.  Sure, maybe not as much as WF, but I bet they get to 18" plus.

Would I have liked more?  Who wouldn't....but the forecast called for 1 to 2 feet, and that seems to be just what we got.

Gore has at least 15 inches, I am sure they will update the total.  I supsect closer to 20 inches, storm was not a bust.  The southern dacks into central vermont jackpoted.  Biggest storm in years.

Gore is reporting 20.

In other news it looks the the chance for unfrozen seems to have disappeared for the weekend, at least in the Adirondacks.

Ummm . . .  thanks?

Although that sounds suspiciously like the reverse of the "blame the weather man" game that TV anchors play:

"Are we ever going to see Spring, Bob?!?!"

Good early call MC, you even beat the cat.
Don't how much the resorts all got, but where I skied the Drifts were thigh deep and steeper more exposed was windblown down to the base ice.
Don't ski the trees, ski the spaces between the trees.

I was thinking it might be fun to see who posted the longest storm spec thread at season's end, but then I supposed trouble makers could just post a new one every day.

I do think that this thread proves that "long-term" (5-7 day) forecasting has some value to skiers. At least guys like me who can't ski whenever they want, and have to line up excuses. ;)
