Soapy water kills the pat boo flu.
Take a power washers and blast em with some soap-H2O between uses.
Towel dry.
I love to walk golfing and golf gets in the way sometimes.
There were folks on a local Facebook golf course page asking if they could pay greens fee just to walk the course.
A lady I know replied to just find some clubs and pretend.
Works for me as long as ya don't hold up the other pretenders following behind.

That's cool. My Uncle Pete skied until he was 97. People like that are truly blessed.

I can't get used to leaving the pin in. It feels wrong.

I downloaded golf pad primarily for yardages but the stats are also helpful to see weaknesses in your game. One that sticks out for me would be GIR. My last round I was at 6% for GIR.....lol

Dude we are hackers!!  I measure Agir.  If that's up there and I am chipping and putting I can score.  13.3

Question for Coach.

How do you feel about a GHIN?  Seems to me a very impartial equalizer.

Yeah, I am also wondering about this. Did they change the formula recently? I heard they did, but I'm not sure what changes were made.

I like how I can do hole-by-hole scores in the app now.

10.3.... it was down to 8.7 a little while ago, but I like having it higher.

Re: The Golf Thread

Putting with the pin in always now sucks.
We had a friendly disagreement yesterday among friends while playing.
I'd hate to see what happens in a tournament if folks weren't friends.
Ball was putted and hit the stick, for a "par". About a 20 footer that clipped an edge of the stick and ended over 6 foot away in about the same line.
I asked em if they thought it would've went in if it didn't hit the stick. They said no.
We let em count it but they heard what my thoughts on the matter were.
I got accused of being competitive as if it was a derogatory term.
We won 1$ total with match coming down to the last hole. My 87 year old partner made a 3 greenie carry over par for the cash.
Playing golf teaches a lot and is fun.

I don't mind the flags in.  I always leave them in when I play alone anyways.  With the holes stuffed you have to keep a eye on it.  If it went in and you can see it bounced off the stuffed part its good.   We've  had them go both ways.  If your 15 footer is zooming up to it and smacks off the post it wasn't going in anyways.  Person putting should call it and ask for assistance if they are not sure.

No doubt!!! All my approach shots are left, I'm not that far off the green but still. I couldn't get up and down to save my ass. I think once.....lol I actually had 1 more GIR because the app has one of the par 5's listed as a par 4.

You need to holler at me when you're down here and can play with pro and I. See if you can do it before June 1st .... We're all kinda in limbo until then. We could most likely play Vesper Hills which is right near where you're hangin out down there. That's JR's course and it's nice. I've never actually played it.

I play Vesper hills.  Decent small town course.   They have the best deck for beers.  Their practice range is ok to.  I am a weekend warrior.  Could probably get out next Friday though...I will skip work.  I am a short knocker so don't expect much other than taking some of that money out of your pocket. LOL.   Check it out with the guys if  for some reason works that would be fun.

This post was updated on .
Decided to celebrate my 77th BD a day early , so finally  got out today , sunny ,breezy  typical opening round stuff . Tried my new Cobra driver out , found all fairways but distance was weak at 9.5 degrees it was 210 at 12.0 degrees ramped up to 235 but early season you get no roll help especially after heavy rain yesterday . It'll improve as the club starts to feel right

Was happy with putting 1.77 per , played a soso 42 for 9 , approaches were not up to snuff , but GREAT to finally get out and things will get better . Havent really had a decent gym workout in 11 weeks ,so need to get on the road bike now that weather is getting better
