In other news Seven Springs PA looks to be getting skiable snow and the FIS twitter feed is promoting free sex with local partners.

Hmmm. Seven Springs is only 45 minutes from the MIL's house. Think I'd bring my own dancing partner though.

nice video - MadPat can turn them well too

To Noah's point I have heard of Hood and even done the summer skiing thing out there 3 times plus one trip to Portillo.  But to do it for 7 years straight is a level of commitment and not to mention cost that is truely epic.  June is not always a sure thing at Tucks especially last year.  July, August, and September trips each have to cost $2-4 grand a piece unless he schedules over the end of one month and the begining of the next.  We are talking about $50k+

I've skied at least once in every month of the year except September which is a tough one.  Pat is the man.  Harv - I'd love to see a interview or blog piece on Pat.

tBatt - I don't think the free babes were actually in Seven Springs:

Coach - MadPat has been a ripper since age 3. His skiing is something to behold. He slices through anything and everything with EASE.  The first time I met MadPat was at Whiteface in April of 2008. The Slides opened and bunch of people posted INCREDIBLE TRs. It was hot as hell and we knew we had to get there quick.

We headed up but missed it by one day.

I'll never forget seeing Pat doing basically GS turns through huge bumps on Upper and Lower Mac.  I still can't believe what I saw. I was going bump by bump and he was just flying in big arcs.

The really amazing thing is to ski with both MadPat and Riverc0il.  Completely opposite styles both awesome.

I just watched your video, Harv.  Pat seems like a cool guy for sure.  I've never skied at Wildcat - maybe this year.  It looks pretty cool.

June is always a sure thing for Tuckerman. July is the more troubling month. Sometimes it lasts, sometimes it doesn't. I'd be surprised if there has ever been a June in which there wasn't some skiable snow still on June 1st.

Yes the drive to 85 is barely alive.

They are going to head as far as they can, hope to get into WV find a motel and plot tonight and tomorrow.

I think Snowshoe is on their radar.
I just read up on Timberline, seems like they got more snow and they are more BC friendly. Hopefully they turn the car there instead. Seems like quite a cool little place. That and it is not upside down. I can't even imagine having to hike up after a run and not ski after skinning the final run! I read a post or article somewhere that suggested the roads are still not passable to Timberline though, maybe they'll get it opened up soon?

Is anyone in direct contact with Pat, Matt, and the gang? Would be awesome if someone is in contact to start another thread to track their journey if they are willing or able to provide updates via proxy.

8.8 million without power. 2.6 million of those here in NJ.

50 dead in the US.

Time magazine estimates 50 billion in damage.

Fox news just reported damage estimated at 20 billion and lost business 30 billions.  The 2nd part seems too high to me and the first too low.

I heard some talk about a second storm next week following the same path.  What does Jason and others that understand the weather know about this?
