Visited West for the first time this year yesterday. It was a beautiful day and conditions were excellent. Got there about 9:30am and skied corduroy much of the morning. Seems like they get a late crowd, probably due to the 4 and 8 hour tickets they sell. It was also really cold overnight.
The mountain has made a number of nice improvements over the last couple of years. They now have snow making on every trail and every trail was open, they redid the cafeteria which is now a food court, also they replaced both of the main chairs. The chair going up West now has one of those moving load ramps so they can run it faster, seemed to work well the chair only stopped once while we were skiing. The Northwest chair was also replaced.
A couple of things they still need to do is put something over the very cold concrete floor in the lodge and have a better set-up for selling lift tickets, seemed like each purchase took a few minutes
