Never skied Middlebury, is it worth a try?  What's it like?

Gore tomorrow...MRG Tuesday!  I have been skiing MRG for 30+ years and this will be my first Roll back the Clock Day

My bride and I did our 2nd Honeymoon based at Stowe, Ye Olde English Inn, same place as the first, awhile ago. Single Malt selection went from ten to 40, about the same number of guns blowing on Stein's @ Sugarbush the next day.  Met some Patriots from Springfield who enlightened us to the festivities @Stark Mtn. on the 3rd day; which we got .  

Single Chair - Not happen'  that trip. Sweet Skiing, good beer, great burger, killer rock 'n roll (Great retro/rockabilly). The best "Get out of Dodge" daze trip since I can't remember.

What's anyone thinking?

I’m jonesing for a beautiful spring Saturday at Whiteface but it looks like this Saturday isn’t going to get above freezing. wtf!

I want to get to Whiteface too. Sunday looks a little warmer.

Yeah, Sunday looks to be a few degrees warmer.  Looking at a few more forecasts, maybe Saturday will be decent.  Mostly sunny, mid and upper 30s, after 5-10 inches up high from now through Friday.  Spring days are usually warmer than expected in the strong April sun so it could be the day I’m looking for!

Since Saturday would be the day I can get out this weekend I’m going to tentatively plan for Whiteface on Saturday unless the forecast temps take a downturn.....

Whiteface Sunday. Slopes face mainly east and soften quickly in the sun. Should be an actual spring skiing day. Finally.

i usually like to close gore and see familiar faces. sunday looks like the day for me.

 Staying in Lake George Friday and Saturday, Will Whiteface soften Saturday ?  Would rather Whiteface Saturday and Gore Sunday, Gore is closer for the ride home. Brooks Barbecue  in Oneonta  on the way home.

I am wondering the same thing.

We expect a full report from Brooks, with pics, Gunny.

Mount van Hoevenberg, and Prospect Mt, Trapp Family, and Craftsbury in VT are all open.  Best chance for me is Prospect.

Looks like Sunday for me-

Whiteface tomorrow for me, just purchased my lift ticket online!

I hope you guys had as good a day at Gore!  What a day.....

Still haven't decided where- logic and common sense say Gore but...

Whiteface has great conditions and coverage but had really long lines since they didn't want to run more than 2 lifts.  With less people tomorrow and the scheduled 3 lifts (face, summit, lwf) it should be better.

That being said for tomorrow I definitely recommend Whiteface over Gore.

Sno is FULL OF SHIT!

Go to Whiteface!  Hike the Summit if the Quad doesn’t open.  Your only regret will be if it gets too sunny, soft, and beautiful!
