Parking lot is a complete zoo.  River lot almost full at 7:45.  Seems to be a race so I hope everyone's here for that otherwise the lines will be ridiculous.

I wish I could Coach but it's not in the cards this year.

Ironically Pro and I were just talking that this would be the weekend we would be up there. St Paddys was our week.

Have a beer for me

Cheers

Yes, I’m sure you’ll post pictures of snorrific lines in which you didn’t wait......and in which those who did didn’t spend more than 10 minutes all day!

Seriously, how can a parking lot be a “zoo” (cars pull in, they park), and how is it newsworthy at all that the River Lot might fill by 8am?

There was a huge lineup before gondola opening.  All the way back to the fence that prevents people from skiing under.  Seems to have spread out a bit.  Did mac my first run.  Was a little funky with windblown powder between packed out bumps.

Got the gondola all to myself for my second run.  I love getting to ride side saddle (lying down across the entire seat).

Probably a foot of western quality powder on Upper Sky.

Something's missing

Cloud was even better than Sky.  And you can safely go in the middle today.

Gotta say I'm a bit envious of everyone who's been able to take advantage of the powder during the last week or two. Not only was I in Colorado a week ago when the east was getting pounded, but I'm devoting most of my free time right now to train for a one day, 170 mile bike ride on April 8th. So I've got to go ride in the cold this weekend instead of heading north for some powder

Enjoy it!

Doesn't look very crowded Sno...what's the situation over there once 8:30 passed and things leveled out...?

Haven't even been to the bottom since my 2nd run.  The gondola line got long again and I went up the facelift and then the summit and the snow was so good that I skied 6 runs up there.  3 Sky and 3 Cloud.  Need to get to Lookout and if SVG is open I probably will mostly ignore Little Whiteface today.

There's no line at the summit quad and the conditions are the best up there.

Um... wow.  It is really crowded today.  Remember this is a weekday.  No lines at the chairs though.  I guess no one else dressed warmly enough to ride them

Listen, if you can bitch about that gondola line, even on a weekday, you are SnoFarGone that you are truly beyond hope!!  Guaranteed it’s barely more than a 5 minute wait, SnoSpoiled!  Sheesh....

I’m pretty jealous.  Save some for me this weekend!

Glad you enjoy standing in line so much.

I however enjoy skiing.  W Trail was decent.  Riding the cushy lookout chair to SVG now.

So if no lines at the chairs, then that gondi line represents all the customers today...well then there will be plenty left for us this weekend JTG...

Frikin' work!

For some reason skiing and posting on the internet doesn't really seem like skiing. I get outdoors to get as far away from this crap as I can.

Re: Whiteface Conditions

In my defense .....when skiing I only post a brief conditions update when I go in for lunch/booze!  That’s only to give back, not bitch and moan, ever.

I did make a post to Harvey with skis over the shoulder and one hand on the phone as I was walking up the road to Plattekill to try and avoid missing our 3:00 meet up on Sunday.  I think that one was forgivable!
