worked for a private weather service that provided weather info to the shipping industry..

been looking at weather maps since 1982..when there was only the LFM

It's actually gotten colder instead of warmer in Potsdam this evening.  Weird.

Major iceing here in Saratoga.  Power was out for 3-4 hours tonight.  Just got it back.  Gore report reads like they are expecting lifts to be iced up tonight.  Looks like that is going to be real.  Flipping back and forth between sleet and rain here.

we're on hold again, for the 3rd time

the warmth was not impressive, we had sleet, freezing rain, rain.  surface will be impacted but loss of coverage is minimal to a small net gain.  Sleet is good for the woods, woods will get a real base now as we wait for the next snow...maybe an inch or two tomorrow and another inch or two on saturday and sunday.

We got 4 out of that thing that's heading up the coast as well as LE is spodda crank up favorably for us tonight. That's the good news. Bad news is this weekend here in CNY doesn't look good. Sad, very sad.

That's funny, I have the same problem, don't know why, but when I tell people I live in Orange Co. they assume I'm in NJ.
