Interesting article.  US cross country team has done camps at the Snow Farm in NZ for many years.  Doesn't look likely based on the interview.

Limiting 4 folks purchasing lift tickets every 10 minutes reminds me of getting tee times for golfers teeing off on golf courses...

Great share.  They're in hot water even before they figure out how to socially distance in lift lines, on the mountain, and in the lodge.

I read that article a few days ago. Love the digest format, get all the main points, fast.

Even still, TLDR, Vail looks to be in some deep yogurt.

Yeah, but, explain the general stock market situation to me right now. It seems to be reaching for pre Covid 19 levels at the same time that tens of millions are out of work and a large portion of the developed world's economy is shut down. Furgetabout the price of crude oil. Crazy.

From ORDA:

"We have been reading our customer's concerns, and are developing a comprehensive plan that provides assurance when purchasing our products.

We understand these are uncertain times and realize that our guests need to know we are adapting to the situation and can be relied upon to not only provide a safe environment, but be understanding to the individual needs.

We are ready to welcome back everyone to our ski areas and know that they are ready to get out of their homes as soon as it is safe to do so. Stay safe."

Thanks for posting
Getting the Bears Den lift replaced is very important for the functioning of snow sports programs so I’m happy to see that got approved in the meeting
That ancient triple is so slow.  It has to be one of the oldest lifts operating in the country.

Not skiing but it about people doing hobbies and ignore rules.
Harvey might want move this into miscellaneous thread I understand that.

"Good thing people are separated on trails in Catskills not from Facebook page of hikers and biker in Catskills:

"Anyone else sick of the hikers out everywhere? They go onto mountain bike trails and act like they own the place. I crashed in ferncliff today on one of the far out trails because some lady was walking up a hill as i was coming down. Didnt care to move and i slammed the brakes and ended up in the woods. I was doing about 20mph when i hit the brakes. Something needs to be done about these hikers"

Yup. I always thought the hiker/biker parameters were backwards but I guess they want to put the onus on the side that has more potential for causing harm. Makes sense. In the case of the non-verbal excitable 800 pounder with the mentality of a pre-schooler though... just get out of the way.
