Agree. Snow is really nice but the glades are thin.  Trails are incredible from the small amount of time I spent on them.  Was finding trenchable cord very late in the day too.

I only really left Burnt Ridge to ski Tahawas.  Ran into Zach's buddy Rick in Barkeater and skied with him all morning. Great guy.  Showed me some stuff too.

They were working on the fences yesterday, so I would think it will be closed. But I don't know for sure.

Cars lined up Route 28 1/4 of the way to the ski bowl just to get up the access road. Never experienced this before.

A Lot was full at 8:05.  It appears to be ridiculously crowded today, but no lines on Burnt Ridge.  Boreas Glades very thin at the bottom.  Trying to get to Ski Bowl soon but not sure if open yet.  Abenaki and Barkeater open and nice powder on Sagamore.

The North Quad is a shit show of epic proportions and stopped 6 times in one ride and slowed down at least 10.  Took well over 15 minutes to ride.  If they intend on that lift being the only way out of Burnt Ridge just about every mid season weekend then it needs to be upgraded to a HSQ end of discussion.

Re: Gore Conditions

I think its about time to stop making excuses for the North Quad.  It's probably the worst possible experience at Gore.  On Thursday all the runs there had really great snow, powder and fantastic skiing....only problem.....you had to make the supreme human sacrifice and ride the North Quad to access them, which was such a shit show experience (even on a light day) that you just said to hell with it and gave up.

As old as the High Peaks Chair is, I say spend the money on the North Quad, make it high speed and fix the off ramp so the lightweights can get off without sliding and crashing on an ice sheet, forcing continued and never ending lift stoppage.

On a brighter note....We are up at Jay today....6" of fresh snow on top of 42" in the last week....powder everywhere....snow so deep in the woods you push your pole in up to the grip without resistance....plus they are calling for another 3-4" tonight...long drive up here, but OMG....so worth it.

Double Barrel is nice.  I think this is my best ski day so far this season.  Cirque Glade was really good (except the drop in).  Want to get back to Ski Bowl before day is done for Hudson and 46er.  Its more crowded than I've ever seem but Gore spreads them out well.  ADK Express is running at 1100 fpm to keep the line moving.
