Glad to hear it and not trying to blow smoke or suck up. If I had the max pass add-on I likely would have gone to Vermont. I still toyed with the idea of heading to VT but I know powderdaize don't happen often and the Plattekill lore made the choice an easy one. Glad to support a local New York business. I wish I could still give my money to Hickory too.

With a reported 10-12” at the base as of 7pm, and more snow on the way, Plattekill is opening tomorrow. As if conditions couldn’t get any better...

If they waited until Thursday I could go.

Looks like it might keep on snowing into Thursday - has Plattekill ever had two Powder Daize in a row?  If so then I might just be there as I am meeting my brother in law at Mt. Snow on Friday (yeah, yeah, I know but tons of snow plus a $17 lift ticket on Liftopia).  Would be a great stop on the way to VT!

Plus, I'd really like to sample some of the work we did last fall during the trail clearing party.

Looks like no Powday tomorrow but apparent it snowed another foot today, 2 feet in the last 36 hours.

Anybody there today? Friday should be epic.

Wow it's good. There's at least 10 inches on top of Weds tracks. Lots of untouched somehow.

The ripper on the left is Chris: the glue that holds it all together in the Platty sidecountry.

No Ira is a direct descendent of the founder - his grandpappy. He still lives on the property.

Plattekill was top 5 (in my lifetime) today and there I really can't remember if the mountain has ever looked so good before. Everything was solidly covered, the sun was out and the sky was blue.

Really nice day, bumps were just epic, creamy and developed. Best bumps I have ever seen most anywhere. Trees sounded good from others but I was too focused on blowing my quads on Plunge.

Party in bar very fun.

Yeah first time at plattekill for me. It will not be my last! I get my pass to belleayre annually. All these years of skiing the catskills I never made it there.
