Skimore... what part of what county is Snow Ridge in?  How much base was left at SR after the last event?

Where is SR on this map:

Here is the NWS point forecast for SR:

Today Snow. High near 25. South wind 10 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tonight Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 21. West wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 5 to 8 inches possible.

Friday Snow showers, mainly before 2pm. High near 27. West wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

48 hr snowfall forecast:

Here

Can't say on the base as I haven't visited since the inferno, but webcam showed a solid base still. I would bet 1 foot of snow would put everything in play

THANKS for that map skimore! No more guessing.

This would require (Google Maps) 2 hrs / 91 miles from North River.

I would totally do it. I think my girls would love skiing groomed natural snow.

LOL so no grooming even by early next week? How is SR for low intermediates?

There's certainly no chance of me getting first shot at that new snow.  I don't mind leftovers!

No they'll be grooming. It's all intermediate until you start jumping in the ravines

Contemplating blowing off work tomorrow and hitting Snow Ridge yet again. The president of my company isn't due back to work til next week, maybe she won't even realize I wasn't there on Friday. Skimore's right, everything there is pretty moderately pitched...but the ravine is pretty friggin steep, albeit not very long. NOAA's calling for 9-17" through tomorrow afternoon.

Keeping my eye on Snow Ridge for possibly  ringing in 2014 on Wednesday.

 402 PM EST MON DEC 30 2013

...LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO
10 PM EST TUESDAY...

* LOCATIONS, JEFFERSON AND LEWIS COUNTIES, MAINLY SOUTHERN PORTIONS.

* TIMING, LATE TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE TUESDAY EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS, 3 TO 5 INCHES TUESDAY AND 2 TO 4 INCHES
TUESDAY EVENING, LEADING TO STORM TOTALS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES IN
 THE MOST PERSISTENT LAKE SNOWS.

Doesn't inspire much confidence in NOAA when they get 8 when they add 5 and 4. According to the lower amount totals 3+2=4 also.

Now a warning.

 458 PM EST TUE DEC 31 2013

...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST WEDNESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED A LAKE EFFECT
SNOW WARNING, WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST WEDNESDAY. THE
LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS, LEWIS COUNTY.

* TIMING, THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

* ACCUMULATIONS, 5 TO 9 INCHES TONIGHT, AND UP TO 2 INCHES
 WEDNESDAY.

That's one nice thing about harvesting Tug Hill pow, the roads will be clear for 4/5 of my drive. I hope a foot awaits my arrival. Snow Ridge has spoiled me. The refreeze groomers just don't cut it after skiing the early season powder at SR. Greek was pretty awesome prior to the thaw too.

Wow seven clappers. That's some psych. Pretty cool cam shot.

I know SR will get two feet and Gore may get two inches but whenever lake effect actually reaches Gore I feel obligated to point it out.

Gore Lake Effect

Skimore... you headed?
