I don't really consider riding in the trees hardcore.  I'm just not an intermediate.

only way to up your core level is to keep progressing beyond your comfort zone.  skiing isn't an amusement park, its sliding down a mtn filled w obstacles.  And in the final analysis, RISK is an essential ingredient...

I never would have guessed that Jay's numbers are consistently higher that Park City. Even if Jay is 20% inflated, it looks higher.

I admit I was getting some schaudenfraude with the whole Park City meltdown thing. Would have been fun to see my fancy alimony neighbor lady and her lifeguard boyfriend at Stratton. Oh the hardship!

Yes!!! Risk!!! That's what is needed to be core enough to ski trees at jay peak after they get their guaranteed 355 inches of snow on the ground.

This means so much to me bro....Thank you so much. I now know all I need so I can be ready for the next winter Olympics that neither of us will be competing at!
Be core bro...

I think to really up the risk and push limits we should ski trees at jay peak at 40+mph and make sure not to wear your helmet. Helmets reduce risk and we want to increase risk and potential injury as much as possible to impress everyone.

oh and I don't ski park city. I've been there once over a decade ago. I was just listing a bunch of ski areas that claim less snow than jay peak. But keep trying to nitpick.

So you can survive and just be brain damaged and paralyzed instead of dead when you hit a tree?
Or do you ski at a crawl speed through the woods so it's relatively safe?

did you ski just the wide trails or all the trails at Park City?  Were you wearing a helmet a decade ago?

Do you guys set your din at like 20+ so you can also show how "core" you are as well?

Broken legs from non release are number one risk of injury, not head injuries. Nasty spiral fractures. Releasable bindings have saved people from so much agony.

So maybe 25+ din on ice in the woods at jay with no helmet going off a waterfall cliff? Will that make me core enough so I understand how jay peak gets more snow than telluride/aspen?

For someone that has skied Park City over 10 years ago you sure aren't very good.  I've only been skiing 10 years or so and sounds like I'd blow you away on any mountain in any conditions.  Stick to the blue squares.  Guess it helps getting out 75+ days a season and pushing myself to do things I never would have thought I'd be able to when I began this sport.  Only a dumbass would go 40mph in the woods.  We get it you like groomers and you can cruise on them.  Have fun out there gaper.

thread drift: wide trails suck in the east. the trees and narrow trails like at hickory and the snow bowl rule. i guess the ideal amount of snow is enough to bury them so I can have fun.

So there's never any ice on the woods? So when it's raining and then goes back below freezing since it's the woods it doesn't ice up? LOL
