but I do agree w/ Coach Z-man about the positive impact of snowmaking on the Victor's Vortex and Tommy's shots of CS....

and while we are re-vegetating Deathway we'll glade skiers right of Empire all the way over to Upper Mac, so we'll have a Glade from Deathway to Mac!  How you like them apples?!?!  Mofos!

I love that idea.  If they did that they could cut a trail somewhere else.  Where?

Maybe if you cut something off Wilmington to the skiers left of SVG. It flattens out down in that drainage and it could really be a Blue. I think it holds snow pretty well down in there since its out of the wind.

Anyone know if they might blow snow on Northway?  They did last year.  Also, dare I dream, Upper Cloud?  its been done before.
I'd guess 10% shot of Northway and 0 on Upper Cloud.
Northway = 90% I'll betcha

I'll take that bet for a beer.  There is only one week of snowmaking budget left based on the typical year so I'd say its a long shot.  It would have to be this week.  I would think burying Mt Run in 10 feet more of snow or many other things would be the priority over Northway.

No pictures, but, what an amazing trail!!!

Being able to "ski" Hoyt's instead of navigating it, you can really appreciate what a great trail it is.

So is this grooming going to be any every day thing or only ocassionaly done?

I had to teach and then soft bumps on Skyward were the draw when I got to free ski a run with Face4me and then later with my son.

Maybe Sunday I will get up on Hoyt's

The ski report is not showing any snow making activity period much less on Upper Northway.  I may win a beer.

Are they done blowing for the year?

Whoa!  Some serious wind slab took me out on Mtn Run right at the intersection of 2200 Road.  the 4-6 inches of pow did little to soften the blow.  Knocked the air out of me.  Been awhile since I hit that hard...  Gonna leave a bruise but I peed no blood, so I'm thinking I'll survive!

Interesting morning on the mtn.  winds continue to rip.  Approach via Cloudspiltter gondi (it was running so add another day to the not on wind hold column) was grippy w/ some wind drifts.  Mtn Run was wind slab and grabbing tips all over the place.  Once it got busted up, it skied nice.

Upper Parkway was good.  Middle skiers right was wind affected pow...  Lower was sweet!

Middle Mac and Lower Mac held the best pow.  about 3-5 inches that was not slabby.

Winds need to abate!!!!

As I buzzed by I thought I saw a small sized swhale right down the middle of upper deathway.....  Not 100% but it sure looked like a manAmade shwale.....

Attn: HPD - can you confirm this sighting????

Whoa, easy there buster---we've got da fooze comming up

glad your ok, really, injuries suck----one of our guys (one of the pros-not pro2860) did a number on his shoulder and can't even make a swing yet. He's good too, with national tourneys comming up this spring/summer we're all a little concerned about him.
