 LOTS of PEOPLE!!
Mt Run was the run of the day with the line on skiers far right the best choice.
Blowing on Excelsior, and Upper/Lower Essex and Lower Valley. No guns going on Skyward

Overall the rain and quick freeze took there toll, but fear not as it's still early and Ma Nature has plenty of goodness for us in '17

Really need nice conditions today.  Crowded in parking lot but it was empty on hill.  Big FIS race.  Met Hoser in Gondi there for race.

Wilderness was the run of the day for me.  Skyward was really slick so it was closed in am and blown on then open later.

Did you ski Lower Mac today?  It was reported open, even though the report didn't show it being blown.  Will likely ski WF on Wednesday, unless there's r*in.
I've lived in New York my entire life.

Without question Best skiing of the last two years.  Skyward was amazing.  Lower Skyward opened as well and was good on all natural snow.  Heard Cloud was good but didn't get there myself.

Agree - Skyward was fantastic today!   Wow it was cold though, even though no wind.  Mt is skiing awesome right now.  Was Cloud open? Crap, never has been open when I am there.   Did hit Upper Empire for the first time ever today.  Shorter trail than I expected, coverage ok, snowpack not as wide as the not wide trail.

Good to meet you in the Gondi Sat Coach and chat ski racing.

Cloud was open from the various yellow brick road cut thrus from Skyward not from the top.

Open.  I was headed for Wilderness, said something does not look right on Empire.  I stopped.   And looked for a rope.  No rope.  An instructor stopped, and we said, hey, let's do it!  It was cool.

Sweet.  Empire is a huge treat if you get it soon after the rope drops.

9 inches my ass! Skied saturday after seeing website. No sign of aforementioned snow. Spoke to several locals on and off the mountain who who all astonished that website touted this. Is this the new trump style snow report?

That was Thursday night that it snowed.  Did you still expect it on the groomers?  You didn't look very hard apparently

They opened Cloud, empire and Lower Skyward on natural snow

Anyone that complained about the skiing this weekend needs thier head examined

Did you say you can take 9 inches in your ass?  Impressive.   9 was not wrong for the week.  The winds were 50 mph down low the other night.  It all went into the woods and over to Vermont.

I have no doubt they got 9 inches of snow, it was supported by the radar and surrounding reports, winds were 50+

There is a big difference between reporting 9 inches overnight and 9 inches for the week. This was click bait. I've skied whiteface since the 70's and i know that the snow never lingers on the slopes. I actually thought skiing was good but that doesn't mean web site gets a reprieve. And coach, if whiteface got 9 inches and it blew into vermont then it didn't get the snow.

TJF is the one that said it blew to VT.  My son trained that day and I watched video of them running gates in powder so I know for 1000% certainty that it was there.  It got groomed in and some blew into the woods which is why Empire was able to open as they have not blown any snow anywhere near that in several weeks yet it opened this weekend.

And it turns out asking is one method to learn:

"Mountain has been killer! Lookout snowmaking is in the plans and should happen very soon. Hopefully be there within a week if the weather cooperates."
"You just need to go at that shit wide open, hang on, and own it." —Camp

Well unlike the rest of you keyboard jockeys, I skied WF yesterday and it was pretty damn good!
Skiers right on Skyward then a quick dart over to Cloudspin au natural, sweet!!
Lower skyward with fresh active creamy talc blow leading to au natural following the lift line!
Skiers right Essex to a perfectly groomed Victoria!
MT Run with fresh blow and not a skier on it!

Instead of whining you all should just ski
