I agree - too much calculations going on in here...whatever their snowmaking plan is, I'm sure they got it under control and what's the difference about the "specs" of the system. They're gonna make snow...it's gonna snow this winter...let's just go F'in ski it!  Then report back here with CONDITIONS!

Glad to see Boreen getting some attention.  They also opened that last section of Excelsior to allow one to avoid the bottleneck at the top of Facelift.

Don't get why Approach doesn't seem to be a priority this year.  We've already seen that they aren't too keen on running LWF, unless it's for their own convenience, and you can't ski any of the Mt run trails off the Gondola until that is covered.

Not trying to give you sh*t, but just a suggestion, you may want to post a little less snowmaking data and criticism of snowmaking plans and water capacity numbers, etc.  I am an engineer myself, so I get that you are good with the calculations and whatnot...but it's taking over the majority of the thread.

I saw some of your trip reports and posts from the days you skied with some good photos...I think that's really what makes the thread more valuable.

Just finished with finals today, so I'm skiing tomorrow.  Should be a great midweek day with zero crowds.  Very cold.  Good day to ride the gondola, provided wind isn't an issue.

whiteface reporting another 6 overnight!  snow, let us know if the wind has removed any signs of it.

Wind removed much of the snow, Essex is a mix of man made hard packed and foot deep stashes.  Windy, but the gondola is still running fine.  They're reporting LWF as wind hold, but my guess is that they're using wind as an excuse not to run it because they didn't even attempt to set up the ramp or staff it.  Can't get to Mountain Run as a result, unless I poach Approach.

Approach poaching.....Appoaching......, a Sno inspired new verb!  I would never poach anything, ever.  Rules is rules.  For those so inclined, it's a long, very visible run down Mountain Run!  As I said, I would never poach anything, ever.....but when I had a season pass it made me think about it less.

Sno, wind doesn't remove snow, just moves it.  Inspiration to get more comfy in the trees when the time is right!

I bet the left hand side of Victoria is pretty sweet today.
