Folks in the slides today, said it was all time. Good to get tracks in there before this weather I'm thinking.

Definately the best couple runs I have had in the last couple years.  Grabbed the Avy gear and fat skis and Did a few fast laps at lunch and then back to conference calls.  Working late this evening to make up for it.

Slide 1 and 2b were sweet.  It was warmer up here than at bottom so that warm air aloft was coming in.  I think the fun will be over for a bit after this crappy storm.

My plan was to go hit 2B right off but 1 was so sweet looking I couldn't pass it up.  Waterfall was pretty scary looking so I cut into tight woods and over to bottom of 2B / 3 where I saw the birdman zip by so I headed there for my other run.

I wish I could have stuck around but got to pay the bills.

Nice report Coach.  I hope to get in there this season, but it has to be gold status as I don't have avy gear.  Glade told me he could borrow his friend's gear for me to use, but he doesn't ski weekends when I do.  Not sure if one wants to go in for the first time under silver status either.

I wanted to practice skiing tighter lines on Empire, but that was closed all last weekend for an unknown reason.  I skied it the weekend before and felt comfortable with it.

Glade took some laps on Hoyt's today and said it was piled deep, but it's going to need to be groomed to open it again after tomorrow.  I was hoping to ski it with moguls, but at least it's now covered.

Gondola and Lookout chair are delayed this morning, due to wind and ice.  Facelift, Freeway, and Summit Quad are open.  Not sure if the report is still up to date.

I've found the Lookout chair to be the most wind sheltered of all 3 upper chairlifts, but maybe due to the cold front coming in its blowing in a different direction than usual.

changed over about an hour ago at lower elevation.  hopefully this wet snow keeps coming down.  if we get a couple inches of wet dense the woods wont be lost!

what an amazing last two weeks.  Some of the best WF slide conditions ever.

Lost?   Was the damage last night that bad?   I was looking at radar and from the depiction is seemed to be mostly sleet, which usually isnt the end of the world.  Was that not so and it was mostly rain?

my concern is the fast freeze that is suppose to follow.  would like some "dense skin" on top of the base so it wont lock up solid into Adirondack slick rick marble..  

things compacted, which isn't a bad thing at all, just hoping the cold winds come with some heavy wet snow..
