did you go to the Doc for a pic or MRI?
last year my 20yr old sprained her ankle on a trampoline..
after multi-able visits to The Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC. She has a torn ligament that the Doc won't operate on..
Ankle is still swollen and painful.. The Doc is the ankle surgeon for the Knicks..

Went to Ortho (express), PA looked at it, X-rays, no MRI, nothing broken, anatomy in place, no stability or strength issues.  Just dealing with residual swelling, some very minor bruising left......two weeks in.

The swelling and range of motion are the only thing holding me back, and that sucker is going in a ski boot next weekend and taking on Couloir Extreme!

Whiteface conditions.....fast groomers early, little skied off late in spots, Mountain Run was run of the day, Skyward closed?

I skied there today and concur with your bar skiing commentary. Was NOT happy Skyward was closed. I understand the top was blown off, but open it and let me make the assessment if I want to re-ski it again. I know they closed it to keep people off who have no business on it, but still.

Was still a great day though! Hitting Gore tomorrow.

From bottom of snow report "we plan to finish Upper Northway and the head back over to the Wilmington Trail."  Not really sure how much snow that they made earlier is still up there, but I'm guessing not enough to finish it by next weekend.

I agree

They are trying to make it for some rich folks.  Not really where I want to hang out.  The whole wait to be seated thing is soooo not Whiteface.  Maybe they need to put more of a Tavern in the back of the AuSable room with a foosball and pool table.

Thank their obsession with being more "intermediate friendly".  And you'll see the no fun police expand over to Little Whiteface if they put blue trails off Approach near Mac.

Skied Whiteface yesterday, it was decent considering the winds up high.  Summit wasn't worth going to without skyward.  Mountain run was ok but not as good as last Sunday, surface was a little odd felt like it could have used more grooming.  It's a world of difference skiing bluebird last Sunday and yesterday.  I'll take cold any day if it's with sun and no wind.  Driving to Gore now.

The lookout trails from what you can see without going up were brown.  They should focus snowmaking on what's open, lookout is done till February

No they should've gotten Wilmington done weeks ago when it was consistently cold.  Now they've gotta do it now.  No more excuses.

Whiteface got natural snow and Gore didn't.  I'd rather ski Okemo than the lowest amount and percentage of terrain at any major ski area in the east.  It would be more comparable to elsewhere with Wilmington open.

So how was Okemo today?

WF was great.  Trail of the day for me was Drapers since there was no races and all the programs were racing elsewhere.

Agreed!

Great day today. Excellent conditions ... No one there ... Absolutely no lift lines ... Trail of the day was Whiteface!!!

I guess if I really wanted to find a problem, it would have been the visibility. Clouds sitting on the mountain for most of the day made visibility a little tough here and there. Management should really do something about that. šŸ˜‰
