Sno, all the capacity and money in the world doesn't help when the skies open and it pisses 2" of liquid on 12/24. It's the east, it happens with regularity, and you're 100% by xmas doesn't fly in a world where there's gravity.

Those maps represent a probability of above or bellow avg temp..
So if your avg temp was 32 and you hit 35 , you would be in the dark red..
I know how to read the map.

It doesn't change what I said: I have never seen half the us in the 90% probability of above range.  It wasn't an editorial, just a statement of my experience, which I admit isn't vast in this case: I have looked at those maps each morning for the last 4 years.

The monthly maps have been brown for several months out since the end of summer.  That prediction so far has been accurate for September, October, November and December.  Long range and accurate. Could be a coincidence, but I will keep watching those maps.

Yikes..I'm color blind , I always thought it was red

I never questioned the accuracy of the long rang trend maps...They are usually in the ball park..

Yes I will, assuming that my flights don't get delayed/cancelled, and I'll certainly put up a long TR with tons of pictures to rub it in everyone's face.  Backlash for all the times you guys got powder and Mountain Creek got r*in.

Snoloco,your family will love Steamboat.
Lots of fancy lifts, plenty of snow making on lower mountain, good natural on top.
I hope you get plenty of the "trademark" powder.

Study hall that period, between classes now.  My school has no restrictions on phone usage outside of actual classes.

No beating around the bush..This week is shot. Warm temps and Rain...As if that isn't enough,We will have yet  another warm wet storm on the 29th...

Enough of the gloom..After this shit period, a return to some cooler weather..Might even be able to link 2 or 3 days of around the clock snowmaking together..

After reading this, it's time to eat a Snickers bar and maybe things will get better. Doubt it.

I think it's safe to say the Holiday's will be a bust for the ski area..
Looks like a lot of rain around the 28 or so...This is real depressing..And with no signs of any blocking we will not be able to sustain a extended period of cold..

peace and love...

Any speculation as to why the Greenland Block is not materializing?
