I don't believe you BG. Every now and then NY wins.  Maybe this is one of those times?
I was speaking for "ski country" as a whole, Poconos to Cats, to ADK, VT, NH, Maine.

If there's one place that has a great chance to avoid doom & despair from this (and maybe make out well) it's ADK.  On the positive side, the models have moved to a track that's much better, but this is really tap-dancing on a fault line for much of ski country.
Can we get SOME snow?  Please?

IMO yes.  It's the best way to suck Jason in.

I cursed the last storm so you are up JT!

59 and spring like conditions at Mountain Creek.  Lower crowds too.  Warm weather can be advantageous sometimes.  Love spring skiing.
I've lived in New York my entire life.

I feel somewhat stupid even posting this but after crying about this weeks storm, Josh comes with this:

The good news involves the outlook for next week. In spite of drowning in a sea of bad news, the pattern remains generally conducive for new snow. There is a weak upper ridge which is positioned in western North America and this is expected to strengthen and evolve into a large scale block at high latitudes allowing the Arctic Oscillation to advance well into negative territory. The MJO meanwhile is expected to support a weakened Pacific jet stream. These types of developments normally conspire to produce wonderful results but I don't think any powder lovers are feeling too optimistic. Models are indicating decent chances for snow on 2 occasions next week; one at the beginning of the week from a Pacific system and another potentially big storm at the end of the week that could yet again track anywhere.

The word cut off from the end of the URL below is "disintegrates."

Our local weather folks are calling it the Resilient Ridge, it's the same thing that has been keeping us mostly high and dry for the last 6 years.

If it makes you guys feel any better our daytime highs here at 7k have been 50 + for the last three weeks. We did get one other 32 incher that I didn't report on the New Yorker in Arizona thread and it was sick, so sick I was too busy getting after it to take pictures or video but that was 3 weeks ago. The last 10 days or so have been hitting 65 in the shade here in Flagstaff. I know it's Arid-zona but 65 in the shade in February at 7k is freaking weird!

If I wasn't so concerned with school and this blasted Chemistry course I would care more but I don't. The warm air feels nice and it's a lot easier for me to study without powder days pulling me away. Yesterday was day 40 for the season and I'm feeling content. :)

Hopefully you guys get a whopper before it's all said and done but the realities are that we win some and lose some.

Anyways, I'm probably going up to telluride next week, I'll get some pics and do a TR.

Depends what model you want to believe..GFS give you a 3-6 inch event
Euro rain to snow event...
regardless which is right, they are both moisture starved and fast moving..
that said it is Saturday for a Tue/Wed event..

I am saying this with Peace and love...Ski this weekend...Cause after that it looks to be over....Massive height rise in the ten day..

Mid week event for the dacks still on track..looks to be 3-5 inch event..But some of the higher north facing areas might get a nice surprise..
