Webcam looks like it changed to mixed/wet much earlier than we hoped...

Noreaster, Jason et al... prognosis for mix precip over the weekend... can you weigh in?

I think Gore to Face get periods of snow from Friday to Monday.  Not a lot of snow but periods of snow that can add up to 2-4 inches over the period.  Slight chances of mix at lower elevations but I think its mostly snow.

Things look ugly for the Cats on Saturday & Sunday. Looks like snow and mixed for the Daks on Sunday , depending on what mountain and elevation..

Wondering if going west in the Adk would matter or help on Sunday.

I'm hoping we can hold on to our snow pack here in CNY --- from what the local guys are saying it's not looking too bad for us?

Its multiple "waves" this weekend in an overall "overrunning" pattern.  SW Dacks can pick up more than expected given strong SW flow providing upslope...remains to be seen if Gore gets into the goods or just outside the best snow.  WF should also do decent in the setup.  First up, Friday night:

I pretty confident that there will be wet weather for central NY on sunday...not a gully washer..

NAM is pretty far north with the best snows...but its still a while out and I can see this trending a tad south.

While the NAM is north, seems like a tad dramatic change from NWS Albany...

That's what I'm hoping for. We're still getting LE snow here today and calling for some more tonight and tomorrow. I.mm hopeful Sunday comes and goes and there's still snow to ride on come monday

Extremely tricky forecast!  I think about 2 to 3 inches for Gore from tonight into early Saturday then most likely nothing till Sunday morning and that looks like mixed bag to rain.  Saturday is the better of the two days for sure

Might have an inch up here at Gore, light pixie dust for the last few hours.

Snowing hard in lake george, slow drive up

3 inches overnight here in Lake George, I would think similar at Gore.  4 inches at WF
