This is hilarious, no one can tell me if it’s going to snow three days out, but this guy apparently can tell me when its time to call it quits for the season. SAD.  really is the New Yorker ski blog.

also the trend is to set up west coast trough and ridge over the east..

lets not forget cali has been out of action for the entire season, i don't see them getting skunked totally..

i'm sure we will see more snow, but it doesn't look good

Getting up to 76 tomorrow in Vernon NJ so Mountain Creek will most likely close for the season.

Belle forecast 65 Wednesday then 3 inches of snow on Thursday.   Seems bizarre.

It’s totally bizarre but it’s quickly becoming the new normal and it’s going to be a real challenge for the ski industry.

not as bizarre as you think.. Yes I think we are warming up , but North Eastern winters have always been volatile.
we have had many winters with temps in the 70's followed by big snows..
Look at the chart for ALB..6 of the record warm winters were before 1940..3 of the winters were even before we burned oil or even mass quantities of coal..

 

Come in Jay whip up a big storm for next week. Preferably a Thursday Friday Saturday event.
