Is there anything we should be talking about??? Where's the snow??? Helloooooooooo!

It looks like we will be snowless for the next 10-14 days...Things can change, but it does't look like there is anything of significance on the horizon..

Is it bad juju or will it help like burning skis?

I dont think its that bad, outside chance of snow on Sunday and again mid next week.  Its a back and forth pattern, it can get very warm one day and back below freezing the next.  Cold air is close by all next week its just a matter of what side of the boundary we are on....I would also suspect more freezing rain and sleet are in our offering.

I have a snowboard? I had it sold 2 years ago, but my wife wouldn't part with it.

Ditto Jason, for this and innumerable other reasons.

I've been dreading this.

The data we are pulling in on the weather pages is really useful to me. I really hate to lose it.

Everything will be fine, rather stick to weather in here

more concerned that they don't touch the funding for NCEP..They do the modeling etc..
also noaa is responsible for the bouys  and other data collection..

on a different note, the 18z NAM has a potent coastal on Saturday night, the GFS nada.. this will be interesting to see if any thing comes of it

RIght now the storm look to be too far south?...

NWS ALY .SHORT TERM...

Canadian high pressure will bring cold dry weather Friday night
and Saturday. Temperatures will fall into the single digits and
teens by Saturday morning.  Mid and high clouds will increase
Saturday afternoon ahead of low pressure moving toward the mid-
Atlantic coast. Medium range models are coming into better
agreement showing surface low pressure developing off the mid-
Atlantic coast Saturday night. The mid- level flow pattern
appears to be rather progressive through this period so any
storm that does develop should move quickly out to sea. At this
time, model consensus is indicating up to a few inches of snow
possible for the mid- Hudson Valley into western Connecticut
with little to no snow farther north, but there is still time
for minor changes in the storm track to affect these amounts and
the situation will be monitored.
