Hoping the pattern holds through next week.  I’ve got tickets on the 21st to Seattle for a little Cascades fun.

I wouldn't go to the bank with a ten day forecast, but that said, the PNW looks great!!

Planning on heading up to Gore to ski the fresh on Wednesday.   I'll be pissed if it's an icy mess.  I see the warning messages saying some sleet mixing in but the hourly's show temps well below freezing and only topping out at 32 Wednesday morning.  

Is sleet in the mountains really something to worry about?

For a brief time NWS had a two day total of 22” for my local. Now it’s looking like 15”. I’ll take that!

NWS seems to have moved toward a better solution (for skiers) for the weekends.

here's my thoughts

8-10 north of ALB then turning to sleet and ZR for everyone then back to some snow...

Weekend is still crap..light rain for all on friday clearing on Sat

This storm is massive.

11:30 am change to sleet in NYC, how far/quick will the warm air push north.......

changed in Rockland too..
I think the sleet line will get to Lake George / Rutland area..Maybe briefly as far north as BTV

Question is, will the sleet layer be small enough, with enough new snow on top, because it will change back to snow in the Dacks and South/Central VT up, to make for a good day tomorrow?

Sleeting here in north Bergen County, NJ for 30 minutes now. Temp is 24F.

ALB's T5 temp gets to +3  BTV gets to 0..
Both locations will sleet
T5 is at 800mb which is approx 5000 ft or so...

Still snowing nice light flakes in Albany. Catskills look nice, too.

So strange,  SW corner of ADK,  forecast now 9-19" through 4pm Wed,  less than 2" so far, just changed to sleet, but its 18 degrees out.  Gotta go remove whatever this stuff falling from the sky is.  Will update later as relevant to Woods, SR, Oak.

didn't expect the warm to get that far north so soon..

Right?  But 18 out......must be so much warmer.....so much higher.....does that mean less snow higher elevations?  I am at 1280',  parallel to Saratoga I am 75 miles W,  and Saratoga is receiving snow at much lower elevation.
