Fall Weather 2018

Where’s that u have been recently what area of the state?  Heading to Catskills for some hiking this weekend. Supposed to be less rain.   Hopefully.  Although they had a wet wet summer.  I would say fall but nobody had a fall of any type.

Southern Adirondacks

Gorecam is showing the grass growing in August, so I'm pulling the Plattycam:

About 2" so far here in Olmstedville and coming down pretty good!!!!

West looks like it has snow but it’s not at road level until Queensbury.

Snow showers in Southern Dutchess today.....just the inspiration I needed to start organizing the ski stuff!

About 7" total in O-ville/Minerva... Heavy & wet with a lot of smaller trees, branches down and power out for about 20 hours. Sounds like repeat for Monday night?

Windy as hell too. Made hunting difficult.

Forecast seems to be just a bit colder than this morning...

This will freeze the ground just in time for the snow

We had a nice snow fall last night - 3 to maybe 6" over a hard base and it crusted over so it won't blow away - will make a nice base.

Bitter cold is expected for tonight - just go through winterizing a few things I would have usually done next week.
Then on Friday - a another good snow expected with cold weather to stick around. Last year we had a great early season and then devastating melts and rain, hope we don't see that shit again.

6-8 if the cold air holds

This will make the first opening day of regular deer season we will have snow on. What a treat!
