Pulled the bike rack off today and fired up the snowblower.  We've had an inch or so since yesterday but it's snowing hard now and will likely stick.

Forecast say rain after this snow, so likely it won't stay very long.  Might be enough for a quick slide on grass late tomorrow.

NY Metro today at 4pm after it had been snowing for about 2 hours.


Port Authority bus terminal was closed, too. We have 6-8 now at 7:45pm and it is slowing down.

Looks about right to me. My 45 minute drive home took about 3 1/2 hours.
Edit: I sort of understated it... Total carnage out there right now. People spinning tires and getting stuck. Buses not making it up hills and the passengers walking away down the middle of the road.

Oh my!  Lots of flight delays in a pretty big area.  

Holy shit, it’s crazy out there.  Beacon/Fishkill area, a foot of snow in less than three hours!  Never seen the roads as bad.  Fun in the Jeep, though.

Yeah - about 10 miles inside the Blue Line into Herkimer county.

Where do you usually ski?

I'm just curious because I used to be in or drive through that area quite often.
